Job Summary
We are looking for a Business Manager & Business Development Executive with at least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day business activities, developing new markets and customers, increasing sales and revenue, managing customer relationships, and supporting the company's financial and operational performance. The ideal candidate should have strong business development, business management, accounting, and finance skills, with the ability to identify new opportunities, prepare business plans, analyse financial information, control costs, and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the company.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Growth
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the manufacturing market.
  • Research potential customers, markets, industries, and commercial opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
  • Generate leads through market research, networking, referrals, field visits, and industry contacts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Prepare and present company products and services to potential clients.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial offers in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Negotiate commercial terms with customers while protecting company margins.
  • Follow up on leads, quotations, tenders, and proposals to convert opportunities into sales.
  • Develop strategies to increase market share, sales revenue, and customer retention.
  • Monitor competitors, market trends, customer requirements, and pricing.
  • Identify opportunities for new products, services, partnerships, and distribution channels.

2. Business Management
  • Oversee the day-to-day business operations and ensure activities are carried out efficiently.
  • Develop and implement business plans and strategies to achieve company objectives.
  • Monitor sales, operational, and financial performance against targets.
  • Coordinate with sales, production, procurement, finance, stores, and administration teams.
  • Identify operational challenges and recommend practical solutions.
  • Monitor business expenses and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Support management in strategic planning and decision-making.

3. Accounting & Financial Management
  • Monitor revenue, expenses, cash flow, and business profitability.
  • Assist in preparing annual and departmental budgets.
  • Analyse product costs, pricing, gross margins, and profitability.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and support timely customer collections.
  • Monitor supplier accounts and payment obligations.
  • Review financial reports and provide management with useful business insights.
  • Assist in controlling operational and production costs.
  • Support the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.
  • Assist with financial forecasting and business planning.

4. Manufacturing & Commercial Operations
  • Work closely with production and procurement teams to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Support efficient inventory and stock management.
  • Analyse product profitability and recommend appropriate pricing.
  • Coordinate with logistics and production teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce wastage, and increase operational efficiency.

5. Sales & Customer Relationship Management
  • Support the sales team in achieving revenue and customer acquisition targets.
  • Develop key customer accounts and maintain long-term business relationships.
  • Visit customers and potential clients when required.
  • Handle customer enquiries, negotiations, and commercial discussions.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve business-related issues promptly.
  • Identify opportunities for repeat business, upselling, and cross-selling.

6. Reporting & Performance Management
  • Prepare regular reports on sales, business development activities, revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Maintain an updated business development pipeline.
  • Track leads, proposals, quotations, orders, and customer conversions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide management with market intelligence and recommendations for business growth.
  • Present business performance updates to senior management.


Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, business management, sales, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of business development and sales processes.
  • Good knowledge of accounting and financial management.
  • Ability to analyse costs, pricing, budgets, cash flow, and profitability.
  • Strong negotiation and customer relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting/business management software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits and business development activities when required.
