About Warc
Our Vision & Mission:
At Warc Africa, we envision a future where Africa nourishes the world while its farmers become the stewards of its fertile soils. Our mission is straightforward: to uplift farmers from poverty through regenerative farming practices.

We've already positively impacted the lives of more than 100,000 people, increasing their income and improving their livelihoods. Our rapid growth has created thousands of rural jobs and facilitated the movement of tens of thousands of tons of crops to become food for the country.
But we’re just getting started. Our vision extends across sub-Saharan Africa, moving us beyond Ghana and West Africa, where we aim to empower one million farmers, helping them generate hundreds of millions of dollars while becoming climate heroes in the process. We’ve already laid the foundation and are now looking for passionate individuals to join us on this transformative journey in Uganda!

Our Roots & Reach:
Born from hands-on experience, Warc Africa has grown into a diverse team of 250 full-time employees from 16 countries. In Ghana's Upper West Region, we serve 30,000 farmers, have a footprint in Sierra Leone, a new venture in Uganda, and our eyes across the continent. Our 100 female- run Trading Hubs put us closer to the farmer than anyone else, allowing us to provide farmers with vital resources and markets. We’re now ready to solve problems for Farmers in Uganda and transform the way they are served. Therefore, we are now looking for a highly motivated and experienced person to join our Team.

About the Job
As the Engagement and Aggregation Lead, you are at the commercial heart of Warc's Uganda operation — responsible for driving aggregation targets by building genuine, lasting relationships, showing farmers why working with Warc is different, and making that difference real through every interaction.

You will lead a team of Farmer Connectors who engage directly with farmers across assigned areas, and with Mobile Buying/Threshing Teams & Trade Hub Representatives on the ground. Getting the best out of this team — ensuring the right farmer engagement, targets being achieved, and they represent Warc with integrity — is your primary responsibility. You will work closely with the Director of Growth to solve farmers’ challenges, develop the right messaging and plays, and you will be the critical link between strategy and execution in the field.
Because aggregation happens at hubs, on farms, and in the field, coordination is everything. You will work hand-in-hand with the Operations and Logistics team to ensure that buying, threshing, drying, and transport activities are sequenced and timed to protect product quality — because hitting volume targets only matters if the maize we buy meets our standards.

As part of a new and growing pilot operation, you are someone who thrives in dynamic environments, spots challenges early, and finds ways to improve how things work — often across teams and functions. If you enjoy building something from the ground up and leaving it better than you found it, this role is for you.

Areas of Responsibility
1. Commercial Execution and Aggregation Performance
● Own aggregation targets, driving team performance with a clear focus on volumes, quality, and timeliness.
● Translate aggregation plans into clear priorities and daily actions for Farmer Connectors and Trading Hub Representatives.
● Monitor performance against targets in real time, identifying gaps early and adjusting tactics accordingly.
● Provide accurate, timely field inputs to support forecasting, planning, and senior decision- making.
● Ensure buying activity across hubs, farms, and the field stays aligned with Warc's commercial objectives.

2. Farmer Engagement and Value Proposition Communication
● Champion the Warc value proposition in the field, ensuring every farmer interaction clearly communicates the benefits of working with Warc.
● Work with the Director of Growth to develop effective farmer engagement approaches and lead their execution on the ground.
● Build and maintain trust-based relationships with farmers, aggregators, and local communities across your area.
● Gather and relay farmer feedback, market intelligence, and competitor activity to inform strategy and improve Warc's offer.
● Drive sensitization activities that deepen farmer understanding of Warc's services and grow long-term loyalty.

3. Team Leadership and Performance Management
● Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Farmer Connectors, ensuring they engage farmers effectively and consistently meet their targets.
● Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for activity and outcomes, providing regular feedback and hands-on support.
● Support Farmer Connectors in managing their Trading Hub Representatives, ensuring consistent standards across all touchpoints.
● Identify individual development needs and create opportunities for skill-building and growth within the team.
● Foster a team culture that reflects Warc's values — farmer-first, honest, and results-driven.

4. Operations and Logistics Coordination
● Serve as the key link between field aggregation and the Operations and Logistics team, ensuring buying, threshing, drying, and transport are aligned and well-timed.
● Ensure the team is buying the right volumes and the right maize, maintaining quality standards throughout aggregation.
● Proactively flag logistical constraints or field challenges that could affect quality or timelines, and work cross-functionally to resolve them.
● Coordinate resource needs across hubs — including transport, materials, and staffing — to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations.

5. Continuous Improvement and Adaptive Ways of Working
● As part of a new pilot, actively identify inefficiencies and opportunities to improve how aggregation is executed across your area.
● Test, learn, and iterate — bringing a builder's mindset to refining processes in coordination with other functions.
● Use field data on volumes, farmer behavior, and market trends to drive better decisions and improve team performance.
● Support the roll-out of standardized processes across hubs, while remaining flexible to local realities.
● Share learnings and insights with the wider team to contribute to Warc's continuous improvement as an organization.

About you
Requirement for the Aggregation Lead.
● Degree in Business, Sales, Engineering, Agriculture, Operations, or related field.
● Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
● Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, purchasing, process improvement, or commercial operations.
● Familiarity with community engagement strategies and farmer outreach.
● Exceptional organizational and coordination skills to manage complex, multi-district operations.
● A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to balance tactical execution and strategic alignment.
● Direct managerial experience, including leading salaried teams in a fast-paced environment.
● Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and make sound decisions under pressure.
● Flexibility to work varied hours as business demands, including weekends during peak season.
