Chief Executive Officer

The CEO will provide strategic leadership to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and long-term value creation for Uganda Baati Limited (UBL). The role carries full P&L accountability and is responsible for business strategy, commercial performance, stakeholder engagement, governance, operational excellence, and talent development. The successful candidate will strengthen market leadership, foster a high-performance culture, ensure compliance with Group standards, and deliver sustainable shareholder value while aligning UBL’s strategic objectives with the broader Safal Group vision.

Reporting to: Regional CEO

Accountable to: Board of Directors, Uganda Baati Limited (UBL)

Candidate Specification:

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Business, or Management is an added advantage.

Experience

• 20+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• At least 10 years in a senior business leadership role with full P&L accountability within a Group or multinational environment.
• Proven experience leading businesses with annual revenues exceeding USD 150 million.
