Job descriptions & requirements

Cafe Manager:

·       Operations Management: You will manage the day-to-day running of the café, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring the café is clean, organized and fully operational at all times. You will oversee stock levels, place orders and ensure all equipment is maintained and functioning correctly.

·       Team Leadership: You will lead, train, and develop the team, creating staff rotas and ensuring adequate cover at all times. You will provide ongoing support, manage performance and foster a positive, motivated working environment. You will lead by example, maintaining high standards, supporting your team during busy periods, as well as contributing to a positive and professional workplace culture.

·       Customer Experience: You will ensure excellent customer service is consistently delivered, handle any customer queries or complaints professionally and create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business.

·       Financial Responsibility: You will be responsible for cash handling, monitoring daily sales, controlling costs and supporting the achievement of business targets. This includes managing labour and minimizing waste.

·       Health & Safety Compliance: You will ensure full compliance with all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations, maintaining accurate records and ensuring all staff adhere to required standards and procedures.

·       Stock & Supplier Management: You will manage stock ordering, deliveries, and supplier relationships, ensuring quality and consistency while controlling costs and minimizing waste.

·       Business Development: You will support initiatives to grow the business, including promotions, upselling, and identifying opportunities to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

·       Any other business as may arise.
