The role leads business development, strategic partnerships, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) expansion, and app rollout across institutions, while ensuring measurable business growth and sustainability. This is a high-impact leadership position with direct accountability for revenue, partnership success, and product adoption.


Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following (or related fields):
● Business Administration
● Marketing / Sales
● Public Health / Social Sciences (with business acumen)
● Project Management
● Communications
● Any relevant business, technology, or health-related discipline
A Master’s Degree or professional training in Business Development, Marketing, or
Leadership is an added advantage.

Experience Level
This role requires:
✔ Mid–Senior Level professional
✔ Leadership responsibility without needing full departmental control
✔ Strong business development and institutional engagement experience

Experience Required
● Minimum 3–5 years experience in:

Job Description & Requirements
THE ROLE
The Business Development & Partnerships Manager leads Innerspark Africa’s market growth initiatives, driving client acquisition, strategic partnerships, app adoption, and revenue performance. The role combines field engagement, executive negotiations, strategic leadership, and execution management. 👉 This role carries direct accountability for growth outcomes.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONAL AREAS
1. Market Expansion & Sales Leadership
● Develop and implement market expansion strategies
● Lead institutional sales for universities, schools, workplaces, and organisations
● Pitch the Innerspark App and EAP services to executives and decision-makers
● Conduct field visits, presentations, and stakeholder engagements
● Negotiate and close institutional deals
● Achieve and exceed revenue targets

2. Strategic Partnerships Development
● Identify and secure high-value strategic partnerships
● Build long-term institutional relationships
● Develop partnership models and agreements
● Oversee partnership activations and collaborations
● Ensure partnerships generate measurable revenue and impact

3. App Rollout & Adoption Leadership
● Lead rollout of the Innerspark App within institutions
● Oversee onboarding and user engagement processes
● Monitor usage metrics and address adoption gaps
● Work with internal teams to improve user experience and retention

4. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Growth
● Lead EAP market entry and expansion
● Educate organisations on EAP ROI and value
● Oversee onboarding, implementation, and client experience
● Ensure renewal and retention of EAP contracts
● Drive sustainable EAP revenue streams

5. Team Oversight & Execution Management
● Provide leadership to Business Development Officers
● Set targets, assign tasks, and monitor performance
● Coach team in sales, pitching, and client relations
● Ensure execution quality and accountability

6. Strategy, Reporting & Performance Management
● Develop and refine business development strategies
● Maintain strong growth pipeline
● Prepare weekly and monthly growth performance reports
● Track KPIs and key success metrics
● Recommend pricing and service improvements

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
A. Fixed Compensation
● Monthly Base Allowance: UGX 400,000

B. Weekly Facilitation
● UGX 50,000 per week (Transport, Data & Airtime) Paid consistently irrespective of performance.

C. Performance Commission
● 10% commission on closed and paid deals
● Commission paid on revenue received
● No earnings cap (performance-based earning potential)
