About the Opportunity:
The Agrifood System Transformation for Youth Employment (ASTYE) program in Uganda is a transformative initiative designed to address systemic challenges hindering agricultural development and youth employment, particularly for young women. Funded by the Mastercard Foundation and implemented in partnership with DSG, AGRA, and GOAL, ASTYE aims to create dignified and fulfilling work opportunities for young people while strengthening Uganda's agrifood ecosystem.
DSG is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Case Team Leader (CTL) to join our Analytics Team and contribute to a diverse range of projects, with a particular focus on providing analytical support to the ASTYE Uganda program. The CTL will lead and manage client engagements, utilizing analytical rigor and strategic thinking to deliver impactful solutions. The CTL will work closely with other members of the Analytics Team and program teams, overseeing cases and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work. Within the program, the CTL will play a key role in leading analytical workstreams, engaging with stakeholders, and providing data-driven insights to inform program strategy and implementation.
In This Role, You Will Make An Impact By:
Analytical Workstream Leadership
Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of priority analytical workstreams across ASTYE Uganda project areas, translating program questions into structured analyses, actionable recommendations, and implementation-ready decision support for program leadership and partners, primarily focusing on:
• Agro-Input Regulatory Enhancement Analytics: Lead the analytical agenda to strengthen agro-input regulatory systems across ASTYE geographies, translating regulatory questions into evidence, options, and implementation priorities to improve product quality, market integrity, and farmer access.
• Farmer Organization and Aggregation Model Design: Design, assess, and refine innovative farmer organization models, including farmer production companies and aggregation mechanisms, covering governance and incentive design, commercialization pathways, unit economics, financing structures, implementation planning, risk and sensitivity analysis, and readiness-to-scale assessments across target clusters.
Strategic Analysis and Decision Support
Lead rigorous quantitative and qualitative research and analysis to inform program strategies, generate actionable insights, and support leadership decision-making across priority areas.
Reporting, Communication, & Advisory Support
Prepare and present high-quality reports, briefings, and presentations, clearly communicating findings, recommendations, progress, challenges, and results to internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement and Program Representation
Build and maintain strong relationships with government, the private sector, and other relevant stakeholders; facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions; and represent DSG in program forums to advance project objectives and inform decision-making.
Team Leadership and Capability Development
Mentor, develop, and train team members, fostering high-quality outputs, strong analytical standards, and rapid professional development, particularly for junior staff.
To Succeed In This Role, You Bring:
Education & Professional Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in management consulting or similar roles.
• Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
Leadership & Technical Competencies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a passion for using data and evidence to drive research and case studies of high-impact projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast, dynamic environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, such as client-ready presentation development, data analytics , and modeling, etc.
• Strong proficiency in English; fluency in the local working language of the engagement country might be required.
