Business Development Manager
Job summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sustainable business growth by identifying opportunities, winning new business and strengthening the company’s market position. The role leads the full commercial cycle from market intelligence and lead generation to bid submission, negotiation, and contract closure.
Job descriptions & requirements
· Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned to the company’s strategic objectives and growth targets.
· Drive revenue growth through acquisition of new clients, expansion of existing accounts, and penetration into new market segments.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market intelligence, networking, partnerships, and competitor analysis.
· Lead the end-to-end sales process, including lead generation, client engagement, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
· Coordinate and manage the bidding/tendering process (PPDA, UNGM, EGP), ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely submissions.
· Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, stakeholders, and key decision-makers.
· Work closely with Operations to ensure alignment between client expectations, service delivery, and contract terms.
· Develop accurate pricing strategies and cost models in collaboration with Finance and Operations.
· Drive client retention strategies, including proactive engagement, issue resolution, and continuous value delivery.
· Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline development, and achievement of targets.
· Conduct regular market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
· Support brand visibility initiatives, including partnerships, presentations, and corporate engagements.
· Ensure compliance with contractual terms and actively manage client adherence through structured follow-ups.
· Establish structured reporting systems, including weekly pipeline updates, monthly performance reviews, and strategic reports.
· Lead and guide account managers in supporting business development initiatives, including cross-selling and upselling.
· Continuously improve sales processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and conversion rates.
