Role Overview
The Sales Agronomists will combine agronomic expertise with sales execution to drive product adoption and improve farmer productivity. The role focuses on training farmers and agents, supporting group development, delivering extension services, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
● Coordinate and support field agents in delivering sales and extension activities
● Train agents and farmers on agronomic practices, product usage, and best farming techniques
● Deliver agronomy training using practical methods and digital tools, including videos and demonstrations
● Support group onboarding in collaboration with the Savings Group Manager
● Promote and sell agricultural products to farmer groups
● Provide ongoing extension services and technical support to farmers
● Conduct field visits to monitor crop performance and provide recommendations
● Address farmer complaints and ensure timely resolution
● Drive achievement of individual and team sales targets
● Collect and report field data to inform decision-making
● Execute other agronomy-related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
● Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Agronomy, or a related field
● At least 2 years of experience in agricultural sales, extension, or related fieldwork
● Experience working with farmer groups and rural communities is an added advantage
