Location: Mityana.
Job Purpose.
To supervise the daily operations of the Food and Beverage Department, ensuring excellent customer service, high food safety standards, efficient staff performance, and achievement of departmental sales and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities.
1. Operations Management.
∙ Supervise daily restaurant, bar, room service, and banquet operations. ∙ Ensure all outlets are clean, organized, and ready before opening.
∙ Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food. 2. Staff Supervision.
∙ Supervise waiters, bartenders, cashiers, and stewards during shifts. ∙ Conduct daily staff briefings before service.
∙ Train new employees on hotel service standards and SOPs.
3. Customer Service
∙ Welcome and interact with guests to ensure satisfaction.
∙ Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally.
∙ Monitor customer feedback and recommend service improvements. 4. Inventory & Stock Control
∙ Monitor food and beverage stock levels.
∙ Ensure proper storage and handling of all food and beverage items. ∙ Verify daily stock requisitions and issue requests.
∙ Report shortages, damages, or expired products.
∙ Participate in stock-taking and inventory reconciliation.
5. Hygiene, Health & Safety
∙ Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
∙ Monitor cleanliness of dining areas, bars, kitchens, and equipment.
∙ Enforce occupational health and safety procedures.
6. Sales & Revenue
∙ Monitor daily sales performance.
∙ Encourage upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
∙ Support promotional activities and special events.
∙ Monitor wastage and implement cost-control measures.
7. Reporting & Administration
∙ Prepare daily shift reports.
∙ Submit incident and customer complaint reports.
∙ Report maintenance issues affecting operations.
∙ Assist in budgeting and departmental planning.
8. Coordination
∙ Work closely with the Kitchen, Housekeeping, Front Office, Maintenance, Finance, and Procurement departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
Education
∙ Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
∙ Minimum of 3 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations.
∙ At least 1 year in a supervisory role is an added advantage.
