Communications & Social Media Officer
Job summary
The Communications & Social Media Officer will plan, write, publish and manage content for Price Media’s own digital channels. You will write social media posts, emails and articles; coordinate with designers and video producers; manage publishing and community responses; and use performance data to improve the work.

- Develop and maintain a content calendar for Price Media’s services, programmes, events and thought leadership.
- Translate documented offers and audience information into relevant content topics and messages.
- Plan content for different stages of the customer journey, from initial awareness to enquiries and follow-up.
- Identify opportunities to reuse a webinar, workshop, article or video as several useful pieces of content.
- Write clear, engaging social media posts for Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok, adapting the message and format to each platform.
- Draft email invitations, campaigns, follow-up messages, newsletters and articles.
- Interview or gather input from the founder and relevant team members to develop accurate content.
- Edit copy for clarity, grammar, tone, factual accuracy, and a clear next step for the reader.
- Maintain consistency across channels while allowing each platform to have its own appropriate style.
- Use AI tools where helpful for research support, idea development, outlines, first drafts and editing.
- Check facts, claims, names, dates, and links against reliable source material before publication.
- Rewrite generic or inaccurate output so the final copy reflects Price Media’s voice and documented offers.
- Handle client information and unpublished business material according to Price Media’s guidance.
- Schedule and publish approved content accurately and on time.
- Prepare captions, links, tags and platform-specific publishing details.
- Monitor comments, messages and mentions; respond within agreed guidelines or direct enquiries to the right person.
- Keep profiles, service descriptions and key links current.
- Monitor platform changes and recommend adjustments that are relevant to our audiences and goals.
- Prepare clear briefs for graphics, photography and video content.
- Review creative work to check that the words, visuals and offer information match.
- Coordinate content deadlines and approvals with the founder, designers and video producers.
- Pass relevant enquiries to the sales team and record where they came from.
- Use recurring questions from prospects and clients to identify new content opportunities.
- Prepare a concise monthly report covering content published, audience response, website or form traffic where available, and enquiries generated.
- Identify which topics, formats and channels are helping us reach suitable prospects.
- Recommend practical changes to the content plan based on results, feedback and business priorities.
- Meeting the Head of Business to confirm priorities, upcoming offers and ideas worth developing.
- Writing and editing posts, an email campaign or an article.
- Briefing a designer or video producer and reviewing content before approval.
- Scheduling and publishing content across the relevant platforms.
- Responding to comments and messages and passing sales enquiries to the appropriate person.
- Checking results and updating the content calendar for the following week.
- Strong writing and editing skills, demonstrated through samples of your work.
- The ability to understand a service or programme and explain its value in plain language.
- Experience creating content for at least some of the platforms named in this description, with the ability to adapt quickly to others.
- Practical experience publishing content and managing social media accounts.
- Good organisation, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Sound judgement when responding publicly or handling an enquiry.
- Willingness to receive feedback and revise work.
- The ability to use AI tools thoughtfully while taking responsibility for the final output.
