2. Mission / Purpose of the Role
Under the authority of the Sales Manager, the Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting and selling equipment represented by Tractafric Equipment, as well as related accessories, within the assigned geographical area. The role must meet established targets for margins, revenue, and sales volumes.
Main Activities of the Role
1) Commercial Prospecting
• Develop and implement a prospecting plan in collaboration with the Sales Manager.
• Build and manage a database of potential clients.
• Respond to calls for tenders issued by prospects.
• Conduct market monitoring by researching relevant technical and commercial information.
2) Negotiation & Sales
• Present offers including technical solutions, quotations, or pricing templates.
• Provide clients with samples and necessary documentation.
• Prepare and secure signatures on sales contracts.
• Ensure timely collection of payments.
3) Commercial Information Management
• Submit visit reports and signed contracts to management.
• Transmit commercial information to sales administration teams.
• Track commercial objectives (sales revenue, margins).
• Maintain commercial dashboards.
• Inform management of customer feedback or complaints.
4) Customer Relationship Management & Development
• Manage and grow a client portfolio.
• Analyse client needs and identify opportunities.
• Propose new solutions and product offers.
• Ensure product quality upon delivery.
• Monitor contract compliance.
• Provide maintenance advice.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.

5. Competency Profile
Education / Experience
• Minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND), Advanced Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or Engineering.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is an added advantage.
• At least 2 years of proven experience as a Sales Representative or Technical Sales Representative.
