We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Regional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our microfinance companyâs operations in a specific region. The Regional CEO will be responsible for driving growth, managing operations, strategic planning, and ensuring the companyâs profitability and success within the assigned region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microfinance and a proven track record of USA/multinational work experience, good leadership, business acumen, and stakeholder management.


Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to drive business growth within the assigned region. Identify key market opportunities, trends, and potential risks, and make informed decisions to ensure the continued success of the company. Collaborate with executive management to align regional strategies with the overall company vision.

Operational Management:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the microfinance company and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor and evaluate financial performance, loan portfolio quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction within the region. Identify operational bottlenecks, implement process improvements, and adapt best practices to enhance overall performance.

Business Development:

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and local communities, to drive business development opportunities. Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to promote the companyâs products and services, expand the customer base, and achieve sales targets. Explore new market segments, products, or channels to diversify revenue streams and drive sustainable growth.

Team Leadership:

Lead and motivate a regional team to achieve company objectives, ensuring alignment with the overall company culture and values. Provide guidance, coaching, and developmental opportunities to regional staff, enabling them to perform at the highest level and contribute to the companyâs success. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment and promote teamwork among the regional employees.

Risk Management and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and ethical standards throughout the region, reporting any compliance issues to senior management. Identify potential risks and develop appropriate risk management strategies and internal controls. Implement effective customer due diligence processes to mitigate the risk of fraud or default.


Bachelorâs degree in finance, business administration, or related fields; an MBA or equivalent degree is preferred. Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in microfinance, banking, or financial services, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Strong understanding of microfinance industry dynamics, market trends, and regulatory requirements. Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading teams and driving organizational growth. Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others. Strong analytical and financial management skills.
