paint production officer

Job Purpose

To oversee and coordinate daily paint production activities, ensuring efficient production, quality standards, proper use of materials, and compliance with safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily paint production activities.
• Ensure proper measurement, mixing, and processing of raw materials.
• Monitor production from mixing to filling, packaging, and storage.
• Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment.
• Conduct basic quality checks and report deviations.
• Maintain accurate production and material records.
• Monitor raw material usage and minimize wastage.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Stores, Maintenance, and Sales teams.
• Identify production challenges and recommend solutions.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of materials and products.
• Ensure production staff follow company procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Production Management, or a related field.
• 3–4 years' progressive experience in paint, chemical, manufacturing, or related production is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of paint manufacturing, raw materials, mixing, and quality control.
• Strong knowledge of production processes and procedures.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and SOPs.
