Role Description The Insurance Sales Representative is a part-time, hybrid role based in Kampala, with a mix of office-based and work-from-home responsibilities. This role focuses on identifying prospective clients, presenting suitable insurance solutions, and closing sales in line with Prudential Uganda’s standards and guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include meeting with clients in person and virtually, explaining policy features and benefits, preparing quotations, and handling basic policy documentation. The representative will provide ongoing customer service, respond to inquiries, and support clients with renewals, policy changes, and claims guidance. Collaboration with the broader sales team, participation in training sessions, and adherence to regulatory and company compliance requirements are also key aspects of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong Insurance Sales and Sales skills, with the ability to prospect, present, and close business in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of Insurance products and practices, or willingness to learn quickly through training.
- Solid Customer Service skills, including active listening, empathy, and clear communication with diverse clients.
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term client relationships.
- Minimum of a diploma or degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, basic computer literacy, and the ability to manage time and tasks independently.
- Prior experience in financial services, insurance, or sales is an advantage but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates.
