Job summary
The HR Administrator is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations in Uganda, including recruitment coordination, employee onboarding and offboarding, employee records management, employee relations support, performance management administration, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.
Job descriptions & requirements
HR Operations & Administration
- Manage employee records and HR documentation, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, offboarding, contract management, confirmations, transfers, and other employee lifecycle activities.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate HR data and records.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including candidate screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and preparation of employment documentation.
- Facilitate employee onboarding and induction programmes.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Act as the first point of contact for employee HR-related queries and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
- Support employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
- Coordinate probation reviews, performance management activities, and employee engagement initiatives.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employment legislation, and statutory requirements.
- Support HR process improvement initiatives and implementation of HR projects and systems.
- Perform other HR-related duties as may be assigned.
