- Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
- Cooking: Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. Utilise various cooking methods including grilling, sautéing, roasting, baking, and frying. Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation procedures. Regularly clean and sanitise work stations, equipment, and utensils. Ensure proper food storage and handling.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Set up and break down work stations as needed. Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth operations. Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management, including assisting with cleaning, dishwashing, serving food, and providing excellent customer service.
- Basic English language reading, writing, and interpretation skills
- Certificate in Culinary Arts
- 1 – 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Highly organised with strong multitasking skills
- Adapt in a multicultural environment
- Excellent listening abilities
- High attention to detail
