Experience & Skills Needed
● Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, Sales, or any related field.
● 1–2 years of experience in FinTech, Mobile Money, Banking, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs), Treasury, OTC Trading, Digital Payments, or Financial Services is required.
● Demonstrated interest or early experience in business growth, operations, or client relationship management; prior exposure to a leadership or supervisory role is an added advantage.
● Exposure to treasury and liquidity management, payment operations, business development, or partnership support is highly desirable.
● Basic understanding of budgeting, financial performance tracking, or P&L support.
● Willingness and ability to build relationships with regulators, local and international banks, merchants, and payment partners as the on-the-ground representative in a new market.
● Working knowledge of AML/CFT, KYC, risk management, and regulatory compliance principles.
● An entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset — comfortable being the first person on the ground to establish the business in a new country.

Job Purpose
The role is responsible for providing on-the-ground commercial drive, relationship-building, and operational support for the company's business within the assigned country. As the market- entry pioneer, the incumbent will support the company's Over-the-Counter (OTC) trading operations to establish market presence, build liquidity relationships, develop early customer relationships, and lay the groundwork for future Payment Service Provider (PSP) operations.
As the business evolves into a licensed PSP, the incumbent will grow into a broader role covering payment operations support, strategic partnerships, regulatory liaison, merchant acquisition, and customer experience — with a clear path to greater seniority as the country business scales.
The role acts as the company's front-line representative with regulators, commercial banks, international banking partners, payment networks, merchants, fintech partners, government institutions, and other strategic stakeholders, helping build sustainable business growth and a strong local market foundation.
1. Business Development & Market Entry
● Support the development and execution of the country's business strategy, beginning with OTC operations and progressively expanding into full PSP services.
● Identify new market opportunities that support business expansion and digital payment adoption.
● Drive business growth through initiative, resourcefulness, and continuous improvement as the company's ground-breaker in the market.
● Represent the company in meetings and early-stage discussions with regulators, banking institutions, strategic partners, and key industry stakeholders.
● Support the execution of market expansion initiatives aligned with the company's long-term vision.
KPIs
● OTC Transaction Volume: Total value and number of OTC transactions processed.
● OTC Revenue Growth: Revenue generated from OTC business activities.
● Institutional Client Growth: Number of new corporate and institutional customers acquired.
● Customer Retention: Percentage of existing OTC customers retained.
● Average Transaction Value: Growth in the average size of OTC transactions.

2. Treasury, Liquidity & Financial Markets Support
The incumbent supports efforts to ensure the business maintains adequate liquidity for OTC trading, settlements, and payment operations, including monitoring cash positions, tracking liquidity requirements, and helping ensure funds are available to meet customer obligations. The role works closely with finance teams and banking partners to support cash utilization, funding cost management, and foreign exchange exposure monitoring.

● Liquidity Availability: Ability to maintain sufficient liquidity for daily business operations.
● Settlement Funding: Timely availability of funds required for settlements.
● Cash Flow Forecast Accuracy: Accuracy of projected versus actual cash flows.

3. Banking & Strategic Relationship Building
The incumbent is responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with local and international banks, payment partners, mobile network operators, merchants, fintech companies, regulators, and other strategic stakeholders. The role includes supporting the negotiation of commercial agreements, expanding banking partnerships, improving settlement capabilities, supporting payment integrations, and identifying collaboration opportunities. The incumbent also serves as the company's on-the-ground representative during industry engagements.

● New Banking Partnerships: Number of new banking relationships established.
● Strategic Partnership Growth: Number of strategic commercial partnerships developed.

4. Governance, Risk & Compliance
The incumbent supports business activities in complying with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT), fraud prevention, operational risk management, regulatory reporting, and internal audits. The incumbent helps promote a strong compliance culture that protects the company's reputation and operational integrity.

● Zero Regulatory Breaches: No significant violations of regulatory requirements.
● AML/CFT Compliance: Compliance with all AML and CFT obligations.
● Audit Closure Rate: Timely resolution of audit findings.

5. Financial Management Support
The incumbent supports the country's overall financial performance by assisting with budget management, cost control, revenue generation, profitability tracking, and financial reporting.
The role includes monitoring financial performance, supporting forecasts, and helping ensure business resources are used efficiently.

● Revenue Achievement: Percentage achievement of approved revenue targets.
● EBITDA: Measurement of operational profitability.
● Budget Variance: Difference between planned and actual financial performance.
● Cost-to-Income Ratio: Operational efficiency in managing costs relative to income.

6. Customer & Merchant Experience
The incumbent supports high levels of customer and merchant satisfaction by delivering quality service, improving customer experience, resolving complaints efficiently, and supporting initiatives that strengthen customer loyalty and merchant retention.

● Merchant Acquisition: Number of new merchants onboarded.
● Merchant Retention: Percentage of merchants retained over time.
● Customer Satisfaction (NPS): Customer satisfaction and willingness to recommend the company's services.

7. Product Growth & Innovation
The incumbent supports the development, launch, and adoption of innovative payment solutions that meet customer and market needs, working closely with product and technology teams and identifying opportunities for service improvement.
