The Technical Manager at GS Construction plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing construction projects, ensuring technical excellence, efficiency, adherence to new industry standards and easing the procurement process. This position involves leading engineering and site teams, managing technical and procurement processes, and managing contract and planning process. The Technical Manager collaborates with project managers, engineers, and operation units to ensure seamless execution of construction projects while maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Project Planning & Execution: Oversee technical aspects of construction projects from initiation to completion.
• Site Management: Ensure construction processes are optimized for efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Compliance & Regulations: Ensure adherence to building codes, environmental guidelines, and safety regulations.
• Technical Leadership: Guide engineering and site teams on best practices, troubleshooting, and innovative construction techniques.
• Material & Equipment Oversight: Collaborate with procurement teams to source the best materials and ensure proper equipment utilization.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve technical challenges that arise during construction.
• Budget & Resource Management: Monitor costs, workforce allocation, and resource optimization to enhance project efficiency.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to align technical strategies with project goals.
• Training & Development: Provide mentorship and skill development opportunities for technical staff.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and enforce standards to maintain project integrity.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 20+ of Proven experience in construction project management and technical leadership.
Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques
• Knowledge of safety regulations,
• Strong knowledge of procurement process and contract management
Additional Skills:
• Knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to lead technical teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Expertise in troubleshooting technical challenges and optimizing workflows.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for stakeholder coordination.
Reporting Structure:
The technical manager will report directly to the General manager and collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other members of the design team.
