TECHNICAL ENGINEER- SOLAR POWER AND SOLAR WATER PUMPS

1. ·  Conduct site assessments and technical surveys to determine customer requirements for solar power and solar water pumping systems.
2. ·  Design and size solar PV and solar pumping systems, including solar panels, pumps, inverters, batteries, controllers, cables, mounting structures, and other required components.
3. ·  Install, wire, test, and commission complete solar power and solar water pumping systems in accordance with approved designs and technical specifications.
4. ·  Install and configure solar water pumps, including pump controllers, pipes, electrical connections, tanks, and associated equipment.
5. ·  Supervise and coordinate technical installation teams, ensuring work is completed correctly, safely, and within the agreed project timelines.
6. ·  Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain solar and pumping systems, including electrical, mechanical, inverter, battery, controller, pump, and panel-related faults.
7. ·  Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections on existing customer installations to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.
8. ·  Carry out system testing, commissioning, and performance assessments and recommend appropriate repairs, replacements, upgrades, or improvements.
9. ·  Prepare technical designs, bills of materials, quotations, site assessment reports, installation reports, maintenance reports, and project completion reports. 
10. ·  Provide technical support to the Sales Department, including customer consultations, site visits, system recommendations, product selection, and technical input for quotations and proposals.
11. ·  Train customers and users on the correct operation, safety, basic maintenance, and proper use of installed solar and solar pumping systems.
12. ·  Manage and account for technical tools, equipment, materials, and spare parts, ensuring proper use, storage, and minimal wastage.
13. ·  Coordinate with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project implementation and timely resolution of technical issues.
14. ·  Ensure all technical work complies with Company standards, approved designs, quality requirements, health and safety procedures, and applicable technical standards. 
15. ·  Provide timely technical support and maintain strong customer relationships, responding professionally to breakdowns, complaints, service requests, and other technical issues while performing any other reasonable technical duties assigned by Management.
