POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing business opportunities, promoting AKSA generators and energy solutions, managing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets across various market sectors, including construction, telecommunications, commercial facilities, factories, institutions, NGOs, and government projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the AKSA brand and developing long- term customer relationships in Uganda’s growing power solutions market. The ideal candidate must combine strong sales ability with a technical understanding of generator systems and energy solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic sales channels
• Generate and follow up on qualified sales leads and business opportunities
• Promote and sell AKSA diesel generators, spare parts, and related energy solutions
• Conduct customer visits, site assessments, product presentations, and follow-ups
• Prepare quotations, proposals, tender documents, and technical submissions
• Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, engineers, project managers, corporate clients, and institutions
• Achieve assigned sales targets and business growth objectives
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer trend evaluations
• Coordinate with technical and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success
• Coordinate after-sales support and customer service follow-ups to ensure long-term customer retention satisfaction
• Maintain organized customer and sales pipeline records
• Maintain accurate sales records and prepare regular sales activity reports
• Represent the company during exhibitions, networking events, and business meetings
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Business, or related field
• Minimum 3–7 years of experience in generator sales, engineering products, power solutions, solar systems, or related industries
• Strong understanding of diesel generators, power systems, and technical sales processes
• Experience in tender handling and project sales is an added advantage
• Existing industry network and client relationships are an added advantage
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Strong business development and relationship management abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet targets under minimal supervision
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Valid driving permit is an added advantage
