Senior School Support Officer – School Network

Location: Field-based, Uganda (80% travel)
Reports to: School Improvement Supervisor
Contract: Full-time
PEAS is recruiting a School Improvement Officer to support delivery of the Mastercard Foundation – Leaders in Teaching (LiT) project in Uganda.
This role will work closely with school leaders, inspectors, and local government stakeholders to strengthen school quality and drive improvement across secondary schools. The successful candidate will support school inspections, help schools develop and implement School Improvement Plans (SIPs), deliver coaching and training, and track progress against project goals.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced education professional who is passionate about improving learning outcomes and supporting system-level change in education.
Key Responsibilities Include

• Supporting school inspections and improvement planning
• Coaching and mentoring school leaders and inspectors
• Monitoring progress of School Improvement Plans
• Delivering training and capacity-building activities
• Supporting reporting, data collection, and project implementation
  

We’re Looking For Someone With

• A degree in Education or a related field
• Experience in school leadership or education management
• Strong knowledge of Uganda’s education system and inspection processes
• Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Willingness to travel extensively to schools and communities
