Gary Allan Learning Centre - Continuing Education is seeking qualified applicants to supervise, teach and evaluate students enrolled in night school secondary language credit classes.
Qualifications
Senior teaching qualifications in the language of interest is preferred. In the absence of Senior language qualifications, OCT teaching qualifications (in any level or subject) are required along with language fluency and/or experience teaching one or more of the listed language courses. Elementary qualified applicants with strong language knowledge and experience are encouraged to apply, although preference will be given to Secondary teaching qualified applicants .
Full Year Language Classes

  • Arabic (LYABD1, LYACU1, LYADU1)
  • German (LWGBD1, LWGCU1, LWGDU1)
  • Korean (LKKBD1, LKKCU1, LKKDU1)
  • Mandarin (LKMBD1, LKMCU1, LKMDU1)
  • Spanish (LWSBD1, LWSCU1, LWSDU1)
  • Hindi (LIHBD1, LIHCU1, LIHDU1)
  • Urdu (LIUBD1, LIUCU1, LIUDU1)

Dates and Times

  • September 23rd, 2026 to May 5th, 2027 (30 classes)
  • Wednesday evenings - 6:30pm - 9:30pm

Rate of Pay

  • $61.50 per hour (includes vacation and statutory holiday pay)
  • All positions are subject to Board budget approval and enrollment *
