Greyhouse West Lafayette, Greyhouse Campus, and The Lobby by Greyhouse have a shared staff team. While each location has a unique environment, the staff culture is the same—warm, welcoming, and supportive. Many staff members work at one location, but some work at two or all three! We use the same staff application for all three locations.
We are currently accepting applications. Because the majority of our staff are college students, we typically have turnover towards the end of each Purdue semester.
Starting positions are generally part-time requiring a minimum of 15 hours per week and include weekend shifts. Staff Job Description

• Must have a desire to serve and help others.
• Provide a premium guest experience, including service, quality of products, and presentation.
• Interact with customers and staff in a professional, sincere, friendly, and courteous manner.
• Produce and package various high-quality food and drink items for guests.
• Present food and drink in an artistic, clean, and functional manner on display.
• Work to continually improve their culinary skills and craft.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and well-organized work and service area including but not limited to espresso area.
• Perform all pre-shift and post-shift duties, training sessions, and related paperwork.
• Operate the cash register, take orders, produce food and beverage items, do dishes, and assist with all other areas of operation as assigned and needed.
• May be responsible for opening and/or closing daily operations.
  

Job Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for people, food, and quality.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Prior food production and service experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and convert recipes.
• Stamina for long shifts standing up and moving about the work area.
• Must be available to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
• Willingness to work in an environment with food, coffee, alcohol, and products that comprise our full menus and offerings.
• Ability to carrying or lift of items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to handle objects, products, and utensils; and bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Willingness to learn use of equipment including espresso machine, and various kitchen appliances and equipment.
