Responsibilities
- Deliver real-time oral interpretation and written translation between the boss and local partners, clients, suppliers and staff.
- Translate business documents, contracts, messages, market information and other files accurately between Chinese, English and local Ugandan languages.
- Assist the boss in daily communication, business negotiations, meetings and field visits to eliminate language barriers.
Requirements
- Local Ugandan resident; fully proficient in Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing.
- Fluent in English and common local Ugandan languages for smooth bilingual communication.
- Responsible, quick-witted, with good communication and comprehension skills.
- Prior business translation experience is preferred; able to follow the boss’s schedule flexibly.
