Job summary
The Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients and farmers. This role requires exceptional communication, empathy, and organizational skills to manage front-desk operations, support the medical team, and deliver excellent client service in a fast-paced environment.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Client Service: Greet clients and patients warmly upon arrival and departure.
- Communication: Answer multi-line phones, answer client inquiries, and manage emails.
- Scheduling: Book appointments, surgeries, and boarding sessions efficiently.
- Records Management: Create, update, and maintain accurate digital patient files.
- Financial Processing: Check clients out, process payments, and discuss invoices.
- Triage Support: Identify and prioritize medical emergencies over the phone or in person.
- Pharmacy Assistance: Handle prescription refill requests for veterinarian approval.
- Clinic Upkeep: Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized reception area.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of customer service or front-desk experience.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is highly preferred.
- Software Skills: Familiarity with Excel, Word, and any accounting package
- Interpersonal Skills: Deep empathy, especially during stressful or emotional situations.
- Attributes: Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a calm demeanor under pressure.
