Job descriptions & requirements
The successful candidate will be responsible for: installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial equipment. Direct engagement with new and existing clients, preparation of service contracts and reports, and conducting service-related workshops
Electrical
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on commercial equipment.
- Work on single- and three-phase electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot motors, contactors, relays, heating elements, sensors and control circuits.
- Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Carry out electrical testing using appropriate test equipment.
Refrigeration
- Service and maintain cold rooms, freezers and refrigerated counters.
- Diagnose compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion systems and controllers.
- Carry out leak detection, evacuation and refrigerant charging.
- Service ice machines, blast chillers and other commercial refrigeration equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and performance checks.
Commercial Kitchen Equipment
- Install, commission and maintain commercial cooking equipment.
- Troubleshoot combi ovens, fryers, grills, cooking ranges and dishwashers.
- Experience with Rational or similar professional cooking equipment will be an advantage.
Gas/LPG
- Install, inspect and troubleshoot commercial LPG systems and appliances.
- Work with regulators, gas trains, solenoid valves, burners and safety systems.
- Carry out safe testing and commissioning of commercial gas equipment.
- Identify gas-related faults and recommend corrective action.
Service & Customer Support
- Attend customer breakdowns promptly.
- Prepare detailed service reports after every visit.
- Prepare repair recommendations and parts requirements.
- Provide preventive-maintenance recommendations.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients.
- Support equipment demonstrations and customer training where required. We are looking for someone who is:
