Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including daily sales, purchases, and expenses
- Perform cash, bank, and supplier reconciliations
- Manage and update inventory records and support stock reconciliation
- Operate and maintain EFRIS (Electronic Fiscal Receipting and Invoicing System)
- Ensure proper issuance and tracking of e-invoices and receipts
- Handle tax-related matters and liaise with URA (Uganda Revenue Authority)
- Assist in preparation and filing of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns
- Support payroll processing and compliance requirements
- Prepare basic financial reports and maintain proper documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA Level I or II is an added advantage
- Working knowledge of EFRIS and tax compliance procedures
- Familiarity with URA systems and processes is essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and high level of integrity
- Good organizational and communication skills
Experience
- 1–2 years of relevant experience (retail or supermarket experience is an added advantage)
