About the Role

Crowe Uganda, a member firm of Crowe Global, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead complex tax advisory, transfer pricing, compliance, and dispute resolution engagements. You will work directly with partners on high-profile assignments involving multinational groups and major local businesses, and represent clients in matters before the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and the Tax Appeals Tribunal.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead corporate tax, VAT, PAYE, WHT, and excise duty engagements
  • Manage transfer pricing documentation and audit defence
  • Lead URA audits, objections, reviews, and dispute resolution matters
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Mentor and develop junior tax professionals
  • Contribute to business development and practice growth

Requirements

  • CPA(U), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, Taxation, or a related field
  • Minimum 6 years' tax experience
  • Strong knowledge of Ugandan tax laws and URA practice
  • Proven experience leading tax audits, assessments, objections, and advisory engagements

Preferred

  • ADIT or postgraduate tax qualification
  • Transfer pricing expertise
  • Multinational/cross-border experience
