2.0 Overall purpose of the job
To drive business growth by achieving loan sales targets, maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio through effective collections, and assessing loan applications in accordance with the company's lending policies and procedures
3.0 Description of Core Duties
Detailed description of the main tasks performed by the job holder
- Achieve assigned monthly sales targets by identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new SME Secured clients (Logbook/Land title).
- Participate in marketing/activations and promotion of the company's SME Secured loan products and services to prospective customers.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to grow and retain the loan portfolio.
- Achieve assigned collections targets by monitoring repayments, following up on overdue accounts, and ensuring timely loan recovery.
- Negotiate repayment arrangements with delinquent clients and recommend appropriate recovery actions where necessary.
- Conduct regular client visits to monitor loan utilization, assess business performance, and identify potential repayment risks.
- Receive and guide clients through the loan application process and provide information on available products and services.
- Assess applicants' financial capacity, creditworthiness, and collateral to determine loan eligibility.
- Collect, verify, and maintain loan application documents and update client credit and loan files.
- Prepare credit appraisal analysis reports, loan repayment schedules, and other required credit documentation to have compliant files for Branch Credit Committee presentation.
- Prepare the required accurate reports on sales, loan portfolio performance, collections, and recoveries.
- Ensure compliance with the company's lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Any other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time.
4.0 Job Dimensions: Detailed description of the minimum knowledge and skill needed for the job
a) Education, including specialised training
b) Minimum of a diploma in sales, marketing or a business-related field from a recognised institution
c) Knowledge of customer service principles
4.1 Experience
At least two years relevant work experience
