Quarry manager

• Oversees daily quarry operations, including extraction, processing, and transportation, while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
• Planning production, managing staff, optimizing efficiency, and specifically overseeing the maintenance, inspection, and repair of quarry machinery and equipment, leveraging their electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Manage budgets, liaise with suppliers, and report on key performance indicators to ensure the quarry's profitability and longevity. 
• Manage and control planned preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs of all fixed and mobile quarry machinery and equipment, applying electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Manage the allocation and utilization of resources, coordinate with suppliers and contractors, and oversee budgets.
• Implement quality control measures and conduct regular inspections to ensure extracted materials meet specified standards.
• Supervise all aspects of the quarry, including drilling, blasting, extraction, crushing, screening, and material transportation.
• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet targets, while monitoring and optimizing operational efficiency.
• Manage the allocation and utilization of resources, coordinate with suppliers and contractors, and oversee budgets.
• Collating and reporting monthly performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). 

• Proven leadership experience in quarrying or mining operations.
• In-depth knowledge of quarry operations, including safety standards, environmental regulations, and production processes.
• Strong understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems of quarry machinery for effective maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills to manage personnel.
• Ability to plan strategically, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

• A bachelor's degree in engineering (such as electrical, mining, or mechanical), geology, or a related field is typically required.
• 3+ years of experience in quarry operations or maintenance role.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment and safety protocols.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Knowledge in budgeting and cost management.
