Iles de paix is currently looking for an experienced Program Manager to coordinate programs, who will provide strategic guidance and oversee the progress of operations.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and has proven experience in managing teams to produce results promptly. HE/SHE can develop efficient strategies and methods to ensure that all programs deliver the desirable outcome to our organisation in time. The duration of the contract will include a 6-month probation period. The duty station is Fort Portal, with frequent trips to the intervention area (up to 30% of the time). II/ Main responsibilities
- Organise and monitor inter-connected projects,
- Provide hands-on capacity support for partners and their dedicated teams,
- Fine-tune and operationalise suitable strategies and oversee the technical aspects of the current and future programs,
- Lead and evaluate project officers and other staff,
- Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities,
- Apply change, risk and resource management,
- Reports to the country director and supports him in different tasks, such as representation of IDP, preparation of proposals, formulation of MnE frameworks, support visibility of our actions …
III/ Person Specification
- University-level degree; post-graduate or master’s degree in a relevant field (agriculture, natural Resource Management, … ) will be an added advantage,
- AT least 5 years of proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position,
- Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods,
- Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles,
- Affinity with Agro ecology and sustainable food systems approach,
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office,
- Outstanding leadership and organisational skills,
- Excellent communication skills,
- Excellent problem-solving ability.
