Job descriptions & requirements
- Conduct thorough eye examinations and visual acuity tests.
- Diagnose common eye conditions such as refractive errors, conjunctivitis, cataracts, glaucoma, and other ocular diseases.
- Prescribe and dispense corrective lenses, medications, and other treatment modalities.
- Assist in minor ophthalmic procedures and surgeries under supervision.
- Educate patients on eye health, hygiene, and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of ophthalmic equipment and instruments.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare team members to develop treatment plans.
- Participate in outreach programs and community eye health initiatives.
- Adhere to clinical protocols, ethical standards, and health and safety regulations.
QUALIFICATION.
- Diploma in clinical Ophthalmology from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Additional training in ophthalmic care or related eye health services is an added advantage.
