Gender Social Inclusion Officer job at Ministry of Public Service (MoPS)

Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social Administration; or Social Sciences; or Development Studies; or Gender Studies; or any other related field from a recognized University or Institution.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior GSI Officer for performing the following duties:-

- Supporting the development of action plan for gender and social inclusion and implementation plan for gender and inclusion development;

- Conducting gender mapping, analysis in the value chain and support inclusion of marginalized categories in key participating positions;

- Providing technical leadership and oversight and integration of gender and social inclusion approaches across programme activities;

- Using gender and social inclusion analysis to purposefully engage youth, women and marginalized groups in all activities and result areas;

- Supporting the integration of GSI activities within the workplan; GSI specific tools in work planning to promote gender balance in the project implementation;

- Supporting development of GSI sensitive behavior change communication activities and messages. Write success stories related to the GSI work being done;

- Working closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to ensure that GSI considerations are reflected in M&E Plan, frameworks and reports to assess whether the GSI objectives are being met;

- Mapping out potential employment opportunities and linking youth the decent employment;

- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
