Nsimbi Education Centre is a growing day and boarding school in Ssisa Subcounty, Wakiso District, committed to providing holistic, high-quality education with a strong focus on academic excellence, character development, hands-on skills, and co-curricular opportunities. We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and proactive Deputy Head Teacher to help lead our academic programs and day-to-day school operations.


THE ROLE

The Deputy Head Teacher will be responsible for the effective running of the school's academic and operational functions, supporting the Head Teacher in overall management and ensuring a safe, disciplined, and high-performing learning environment.


REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Education (must have)

• Bachelor's degree in Education (preferred)

• Professional teaching qualification

• At least 5 years of teaching experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or senior academic role

• Strong knowledge of the Ugandan education system and UNEB requirements

• Proven leadership, organisational and people management skills

• Commitment to holistic education, including co-curricular and skills development

• High integrity, professionalism and a passion for nurturing young people


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, support and monitor teaching staff

• Develop and implement academic plans, timetables and school curricula in line with national requirements

• Maintain discipline, safeguarding and student welfare

• Coordinate examinations, assessments and reporting

• Support co-curricular and skills development programs

• Manage day-to-day school operations and resources

• Foster strong communication with parents, staff and the wider community

• Deputise for the Head Teacher as required
