Description:
Relatively responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding the customer base for products like PVC pipes and fittings, and managing the sales team and distribution networks. This position shall demand strong market analysis and relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities
Area and Responsibility
1. Sales and Profitability
▪ Achieving sales and profitability targets as per the monthly/quarterly/annual budget, which includes driving both primary and secondary sales to meet monthly, quarterly & annual targets
2. Business Development:
▪ Identifying & developing new business opportunities and growing the customer portfolio within the Ugandan market, including direct sales to large accounts and through a network of distributors and fabricators
3. Market Intelligence
▪ Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and identify opportunities for new product categories.
4. Customer Relationship Management
▪ Builds & maintains strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, distributors, and channel partners to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
5. Team Leadership
▪ Leads, motivates, trains, and manages the sales team to ensure high performance and productivity, including setting clear sales targets and conducting performance reviews
6. Sales Operations and Reporting
▪ Oversees the entire sales process, manages operating costs, ensures timely collection of payments, and submits regular, detailed sales reports and forecasts to senior management
7. Coordination
▪ Collaborates with internal teams such as Production, Logistics, Marketing, and Finance to ensure smooth order fulfillment, alignment of strategies, and resolution of customer complaints
8. Compliance
▪ Ensures that all sales activities comply with the legal and regulatory requirements of Uganda, as well as company policies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education:
▪ A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Polymer is an advantage), or a related field is typically required. An MBA is often a plus
Experience:
▪ Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, with a significant portion in a management or leadership role.
▪ Prior experience in the pipes, fittings, hardware, building materials, or general manufacturing/infrastructure sector is highly desirable, with exposure to technologies like PVC shrink extrusion.
▪ Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Skills:
▪ Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
▪ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret sales data and market information.
▪ Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
▪ A customer-centric mindset and strong interpersonal skills
