Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be able to keep a complete and detailed database of inventory and supply documentation, but will also be on the ground floor of receiving to personally inspect and confirm supply quality and delivery.


Main Job duties and Responsibilities
1) Oversee the management, purchase, and replenishment of goods in company stores to ensure maintenance of stock levels
2) Maintain accurate records(both electronic and manual) of inventory and stock management systems according to best practices/standards
3) Supervise the maintenance of warehouses/storerooms and ensure proper arrangement of stocks
4) Perform regular cycle counts of inventory and assist in conducting yearly periodical inventory counts
5) Provide routine stock management data regarding inventory performance and status
6) Produce monthly stock reconciliation reports for review
7) Take the lead of the stores team in completing all necessary stock takes in time and with accurate results, including dealing with issues arising thereof
8) Inspecting and maintaining the storeroom and the allocation of space for stock, ensuring they meet standards for health and safety
9) Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time

Skills and Qualifications:
1) Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce (accounting option), Economics, Statistics, Business Computing, Procurement and supply chain management from a recognized institution of higher learning.
2) At least two years of working experience in a busy private sector environment with regular contact with inventory management functions.
3) High degree of integrity.
4) Must have experience in managing inventory, or ability to learn this skill, reporting, managing audit queries.
5) Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Tally ERP experience is desirable
