Stock Controller
Job summary
The Stock Controller will be responsible for the accurate tracking, management, and reconciliation of all inventory within the company's warehouse(s), ensuring stock levels, movements, and valuations are properly recorded and that discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.

Stock Management & Inventory Control
- Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels across all warehouse locations
- Process goods received , stock transfers, and dispatches in the inventory system
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle counts, reconciling against system records
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damages, and losses
- Flag slow-moving, excess, or obsolete stock to management
Warehouse Operations
- Coordinate with the warehouse team on proper storage, labeling, and organization of stock (FIFO/FEFO as applicable)
- Oversee receiving and dispatch processes to ensure accuracy against purchase orders and delivery notes
- Ensure stock is stored securely and in line with handling requirements (especially for electronics/fragile goods)
Reporting & Reconciliation
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports for management
- Reconcile physical stock counts with system (ERP) records and report variances
- Support finance/accounts team with inventory valuation and landed cost data
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements for audit purposes
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain proper documentation for all goods received and dispatched (invoices, delivery notes, GRNs)
- Ensure compliance with company inventory policies and procedures
- Support internal and external audits with stock documentation and explanations
Team Coordination
- Liaise with procurement, sales, and finance teams on stock availability and replenishment needs
- Support store/branch teams with stock queries and resolution
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field
- 2–4 years' experience in stock/inventory control, preferably in distribution, FMCG, or retail
- Experience with inventory/ERP systems (QuickBooks, Zoho, SAP, Tally, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills
