Job Summary
Implement and enforce HR policies to ensure company-wide compliance, monitor staff attendance and performance, and handle all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, disciplinary actions, and exit procedures. Coordinate performance evaluations, training needs assessments, and staff development programs while serving as the main contact for employee relations to address grievances and maintain a positive workplace culture. Ensure compliance with labor laws, advising management on best practices and regulatory updates, and manage accurate staff records.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures as outlined in the company’s HR Manual, ensuring company-wide compliance.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and performance using the biometric system and provide periodic reports to management.
- Handle end-to-end HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, disciplinary actions, staff records management, and exit procedures.
- Coordinate and support performance evaluations, training needs assessments, and staff development programs.
- Act as the main point of contact for employee relations, addressing grievances, mediating disputes, and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and advise management on HR best practices and regulatory updates.
- Maintain up-to-date and confidential employee records and manage leave tracking and approvals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar HR role, preferably in a fast- paced or retail/technology setting.
- Strong working knowledge of Uganda’s labor laws and HR compliance practices.
- Proficiency in using biometric systems and HR software for attendance and record management.
