Finance Manager (Big 4 Experience Preferred)

Accounting & Controls - Own the chart of accounts, accounting policies, and drive continuous improvement across the accounting team - Ensure intercompany transactions are complete and accurately eliminated across the group - Review and sign off on the team’s work for accuracy, completeness, and correct classification - Complete journal entries and hold overall responsibility for GL accounting (prepayments, accruals, provisions)

Month-End Close & Reporting - Own and manage the month-end closing calendar and checklist - Supervise preparation and posting of month-end journals (accruals, amortization, depreciation) - Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and discrepancies resolved promptly - Produce accurate monthly management accounts and consolidated financial statements to deadline

Stock & Fixed Assets - Manage the month-end stock count schedule across grain, agro-inputs, fuel, and other inventory - Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies with the grain-handling and stores teams - Maintain the fixed assets register and movement schedule, including quarterly and year-end reconciliations to trial balance

Audit & Compliance - Coordinate year-end financial statement audits and act as the primary liaison with external auditors - Design and implement internal controls that safeguard company assets - Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and Ugandan regulatory requirements (including URA/EFRIS)

Leadership - Lead, mentor, and set clear performance expectations for the finance team - Build a growth-oriented team environment with strong technical development
