Position: Credit Analyst
Reports to: Manager Credit Analysis
Department: Credit
Job Summary: This role is responsible for evaluating and recommending sound credit prospects that fit within the credit expectations in line with credit policy and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluating and recommending sound credit prospects that fit within the credit expectations in line with credit policy and procedures and legal frameworks.
- Contribute to growth and quality of the credit portfolio in line with the Bank’s business goals.
- Ensure timely processing and approvals of the various credit products in line with approval limits and credit policy.
- To be in close liaison with Business Managers to maximize and grow the credit portfolio by sustaining good relationships and cross selling to potential customers.
- Prepare period credit reports to be presented to Senior Credit Committee – SCC and Board Credit Committee – BCC.
- Recommend credit facilities to the respective approval committee in line with evaluation and credit policy and where appropriate with suitable covenants to mitigate identified risk.
- Any other duties assigned.
Education.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related course.
- Master’s or Professional qualifications or on-going professional studies in CPA, ACCA CMA and banking is an added advantage.
Experience.
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role in the Banking Industry.
