Duties and Responsibilities
- Sell water treatment systems and related spares and consumables
- Perform professional presentations and demonstrations of company products and services
- Prepare and submit proposals
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits
- Quote prices and discuss credit terms
- Prepare sales order forms and reports
- Ensure follow-up of prospective clients
- Attending trade exhibitions, conferences, and meetings
- Working towards monthly and annual targets
- Maintain accurate customer records and report weekly sales
- Train customers and potential clients, decision-makers, lobbyists, water officers, village officers, and end users
- Undertake basic research tasks as might be required from time to time
- Cultivate and deepen client relationships and partnerships that add value
- Actively participate in, and contribute to, the Company’s team meetings
- Keep track of competitors and competing products as well as new products that may fit in the Company’s portfolio
- Undertake any other duties assigned by the Sales Manager and the General Manager
The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for increasing sales. To do this successfully, an ideal candidate must have the following skills;
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written for interactions with customers and sales staff
- 4-6 years of work experience in a busy sales environment, establishing new businesses
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with effective sales strategies
- Inspirational attitude and ability to create a motivating environment
- Self-confidence
- Ability to train others effectively
- Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills.
- Customer service skills, including how to handle upset customers
- Self-motivated and driven by targets
- Resilience
- Should be able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Numerical skills
Academic qualifications
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree in business or sales from a recognized University preferred.
- Must have a credit in English and Mathematics
- Certified sales professional certification will be an added advantage.
