MAIZE MILL MACHINE OPERATOR

Responsibilities:

• Machine operation; operating and controlling the maize milling machines, adjusting as needed to achieve desired grain size and product quality.
• Production monitoring; observing machine performance, checking for anomalies and ensuring the mill is operating efficiently.
• Maintenance; performing routine checks, cleaning and minor maintenance tasks on the machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Quality control; Monitoring the quality of the milled product, checking for consistency and meeting specified standards.
• Safety; Following all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.
• Troubleshooting; Identifying and resolving minor technical issues with the machinery to minimize production downtime.
• Documentation; Keeping records of machine operation, maintenance, and production data. 

Other potential responsibilities:

• Inventory Management; Monitoring and managing the stock of maize and other materials used in the milling process.
• Communication; Communicating effectively with supervisors, other operators, and maintenance personnel.
• Process Improvement; Contributing to the improvement of the milling process through suggestions and observations.
