Job Summary
The Mechanic shall ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Klan Logistics’ fleet by performing scheduled maintenance, diagnosing faults, and executing timely repairs. The Mechanic shall support workshop operations by minimizing vehicle downtime and upholding the highest standards of workmanship and safety. The ideal candidate shall demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining both mechanical integrity and the polished appearance of all fleet vehicles.

The Mechanic shall support workshop operations by minimizing vehicle downtime and upholding the highest standards of workmanship and safety. The ideal candidate shall demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining both mechanical integrity and the polished appearance of all fleet vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and support vehicles.
- Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure vehicles remain roadworthy and compliant.
- Identify mechanical faults and provide timely and effective solutions.
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance carried out.
- Collaborate with workshop staff and fleet managers to ensure uptime targets are met.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in servicing and repairing heavy commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers.
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills using modern tools and techniques.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, brake systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a busy workshop environment.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.
