Job descriptions & requirements
- Conduct rigorous financial, accounting, and operational control across the assigned region.
- Guide project teams in the implementation of activities and international missions, and monitor the related procurement files.
- Contribute to strengthening the capacities of AFL teams and improving management tools and mechanisms.
- Provide ad hoc operational support to AFL teams when required (e.g., report reviews, preparation of agreements, etc.).
- Review accounting records for the assigned region every quarter and contribute to the preparation of quarterly management reports.
- Support AFL teams during financial closing processes and external statutory audits.
- Support the coordination of project audits, including the preparation of responses to auditors.
- Validate cash flow requests and partner grant disbursements within the assigned region.
- Monitor and support the preparation of international procurement files based on information provided by country/mission AFL teams, including supplier follow-up and coordination of procurement selection committees.
- Validate and monitor international travel requests.
- Review and validate expense claims.
- Monitor inventory management.
- Consolidate regional staff timesheets.
- Conduct internal control missions.
- Recommend improvements to internal procedures.
- Contribute to the documentation and dissemination of good practices.
- Strong knowledge of general and analytical accounting.
- Proficiency in SAGE accounting software.
- Financial management and donor compliance rules.
- Understanding of international cooperation mechanisms.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Professional proficiency in French (B2-C1) and English (B2-C1), both written and spoken (mandatory).
- Financial data and supporting documentation analysis.

- A 12-month fixed-term contract (renewable).
- A gross monthly salary in accordance with ASF's salary scale in either the Democratic Republic of the Congo or Uganda, depending on the duty station.
