Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Direct Sales Executive to drive the acquisition of Airtel formal merchants, informal merchants, insurance partners, and 5G data sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for expanding Airtel’s merchant network, promoting insurance products, and driving 5G data adoption through direct sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Merchant Acquisition:

  •  Identify, onboard, and activate formal and informal merchants to expand Airtel’s distribution network.
  • Conduct field visits to engage potential merchants and convert them into Airtel partners.
  •  Ensure merchant compliance with Airtel’s policies and provide necessary training.

2. Insurance & 5G Data Sales:

  • Promote and sell Airtel’s insurance products to merchants and customers.
  • Drive 5G data sales by educating customers on benefits and converting leads into sales.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets for merchant acquisition, insurance, and data sales.

3. Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants to ensure long-term business partnerships.
  • Address merchant queries, resolve issues, and ensure high satisfaction levels.

4. Market Intelligence & Reporting:

  • Gather market insights on competitor activities and customer preferences.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and submit regular reports to management.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Minimum HSC/Diploma; degree in Sales/Marketing/Business preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years in direct sales, field sales, or merchant acquisition (telecom/FMCG/financial services background is a plus).
  •  Skills:
  •  Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  •  Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with Airtel products (5G, insurance, mobile services) is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
