Job Description/Requirements
Uzima Microfinance is a fast-growing financial institution committed to empowering communities through access to affordable financial services. We are seeking proactive, self-driven, and ethical individuals to join our team as Credit Officers in the Eastern Region of Uganda.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobilize and recruit clients within assigned areas and market segments.
- Conduct field assessments, group formation, loan appraisal, and verification of client information.
- Facilitate loan disbursement, monitor loan performance, and conduct regular follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate records of client files, loan documentation, and repayments.
- Ensure timely collection of loan installments while promoting a positive repayment culture.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while promoting Uzima’s products and services.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Microfinance, Accounting, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage.
- Experience in field-based microfinance lending is an added advantage.
- Must be willing to work and reside within the Eastern Region of Uganda.
- Must be able to speak at least two local languages commonly used in the Eastern Region.
- Strong communication, mobilization, and customer relationship management skills.
- High level of integrity, discipline, and results-oriented work ethic.
- All interviews for this recruitment will be held at the Mbale Regional Office.
