Credit Officer

Uzima Microfinance is a fast-growing financial institution committed to empowering communities through access to affordable financial services. We are seeking proactive, self-driven, and ethical individuals to join our team as Credit Officers in the Eastern Region of Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

• Mobilize and recruit clients within assigned areas and market segments.
• Conduct field assessments, group formation, loan appraisal, and verification of client information.
• Facilitate loan disbursement, monitor loan performance, and conduct regular follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate records of client files, loan documentation, and repayments.
• Ensure timely collection of loan installments while promoting a positive repayment culture.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while promoting Uzima’s products and services.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Microfinance, Accounting, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage.
• Experience in field-based microfinance lending is an added advantage.
• Must be willing to work and reside within the Eastern Region of Uganda.
• Must be able to speak at least two local languages commonly used in the Eastern Region.
• Strong communication, mobilization, and customer relationship management skills.
• High level of integrity, discipline, and results-oriented work ethic.
• All interviews for this recruitment will be held at the Mbale Regional Office.
