Job summary
The Regional Manager will report directly to the Managing Director and will supervise Branch Managers in the specified region. He/she will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating all branches in the region to ensure continuous business growth and compliance to Eleglance Finance’s policies and procedures.

Specific Responsibilities
- Ensure that the region achieves its annual targets including Portfolio, PAR and clientnumbers on a monthly basis.
- Ensure that branches in the region recover written-off loans in accordance with Eleglance’s loan recovery guidelines.
- Assist branches in preparation of targets and budgets. These budgets shall capture branch activities (revenues, expenses, clients, loans etc.)
- Participate in loan appraisals for individual loan between individual branches and adherence to set standards through guiding managers and officers in committees.
- Undertake timely performance appraisal of the regional staff and liaise with HR Department to ensure that the appropriate decision is taken.
- Manage and coordinate staff welfare issues in the region.
- Coordinate administration and procurement activities in the region in unison with Administration and Procurement Department.
- Coordinate the process / verification of securities and related security documentation with Finance Department.
- Participate in the approved promotional activities of Eleglance and other social events to enhance Eleglance’s corporate image in the region.
- Address client complaints received orally or through the suggestion box and other media handles.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and other periodic field reports on activities in the region to the Managing Director.
Personal Specification
Education & Certifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce, Economics, Microfinance, Development Economics, or any other relevant business-related course from a reputable university.
- A Master’s Degree or Postgraduate in Credit Management is an added advantage.
Essential Knowledge and Experience
- Should at least have been a branch manager with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a financial institution mainly in credit management.
- Should be a strategic thinker with high degree of innovativeness, creativity, and ambition. Should have strong business and analytical skills.
- Should have a track record of integrity, organized and knowledgeable in credit policies and procedures, should be a team player, self-starter, and ability to push staff towards achieving set targets.
- Candidates must be knowledgeable in computer applications especially MS Office and should be aged between 28 – 40 years.
- Must be able to ride a motorcycle and should possess a valid riding license.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft excel for data entry and analysis is essential and mandatory.
- Familiarity with industry’s rules and regulations
