Waynah Textiles, a well-established retail business in the heart of Ham Shopping Grounds, Block S, is seeking an energetic and results-oriented Male Accounting Officer. In this pivotal role.

Job descriptions & requirements

You will be responsible for driving sales, managing showroom operations, and leveraging data analysis to understand customer trends and optimize performance. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in building relationships with customers and guiding them through our extensive collection of high-quality textile fabrics.


Location: Kampala Central, Ham Shopping Grounds Block S (351/360) 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial record-keeping and accounting
  • Preparing financial statements and reports
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Financial analysis and insights



Requirements:

  • Male candidate preferred.
  • Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and systems
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Energetic and self-motivated with a strong sales drive.
  • Lead and motivate the showroom sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and expert advice on textile fabrics.
  • Maintain a visually appealing and organized showroom environment.
  • Utilize data analysis skills to track sales, identify popular products, and understand customer preferences.
  • Implement strategies to increase foot traffic and drive sales growth.
  • Manage inventory and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in textile fabrics and the retail industry.
  • Effectively utilize computer systems, including Excel sheets, for reporting and analysis.
