Job Purpose:
To support the finance team in managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. This role is vital for ensuring financial accuracy and supporting timely reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing invoices, receipts, and payments in the accounting system.
- Maintain up-to-date financial records and filing systems (digital and physical).
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with monthly account reconciliations.
- Prepare payment vouchers, petty cash vouchers, and ensure all supporting documentation is attached.
- Monitor and manage petty cash, ensuring proper accountability and replenishment.
- Support the payroll process by preparing relevant data for salary processing.
- Assist with the preparation of statutory returns (e.g. PAYE, NSSF).
- Participate in internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Support monthly and year-end financial closing processes.
- Respond to supplier and client queries related to accounts.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA Part II or above is an added advantage.
- At least 1–2 years of accounting or finance-related experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Integrity and ability to handle sensitive financial information.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
