Senior Specialist – Security Architecture and Operations Technology at MTN Uganda Limited

Job Description JOB DESCRIPTIONReporting to the Senior Manager – Security, the Senior Specialist – Security Architecture and Operations is primarily responsible for all ongoing activities related to the availability, integrity and confidentiality of MTN Uganda information in compliance with the industry standard, IT security and Privacy policies and procedures, regulations and law.Main Job Functions:• Implement the organization’s information security policies and procedures.• Coordinate the information security compliance activities.Provide direct information security training and awareness to the workforce.Monitor compliance with the organization’s security policies and procedures among employees, contractors, alliances and other third parties and takes corrective action. Manages information security incident response.• Monitor internal control systems to ensure that appropriate information access levels and security clearances are maintained.• Perform information security risk analysis and periodic information system activity reviews for information security processes.• Coordinate the development of the organizations disaster recovery and business continuity plans for information systems, and tests readiness as far as security is concerned.Serve as an internal information security consultant to the organization and responds to all security or Audit queries.• Monitor advancements in information security technologies.• Monitor changes in legislation and accreditation standards that affect information security.• Initiate, facilitate, and promote activities to foster information security awareness within the organization.• Serve as the information security liaison for MTN Group and MTN Uganda team.• Review all system-related information security plans throughout the organization’s network and acts as a liaison between IT, BRM, Risk team and physical security team.Education:• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Engineering.• CISSP, CISM or equivalent Information Security qualification• Unix/Microsoft Certification• Background in cyber security.Experience:• 4 years experience in solution architectural design within a large; reputable organization with exposure to; Active Directory, Azure AD, Digital Forensics & Crytography, Penetration testing.• Development/scripting – any of the following preferably C++, Java, Python, Perl, PHP, Power Shell, Unix Shell.Training:• COBIT• Project Management• ITIL• Solutions architecture• TOGAF• Any security trainingKnowledge:• Application architecture• Budgeting• Business processes• COE• Frameworks and methodologies• Impact and systems analysis• Integration design• IT technology roadmap design and implementation• Problem solving• Process architectural design• Project / program management• Quality management• Reporting• Systems development lifecycle• Systems EngineeringSkills / physical competencies:• Ability to work under pressure• Advanced communication; interpersonal and reporting skills• Analytical skills• Application architecture• Data analysis skills• Data management skills• Financial acumen• Information management• Integration design• Project / program management• Risk assessment• Risk management• Solution design• Behaviour:• Analytical thinking• Attention to detail• Conflict handling• Decision making• Innovation• Intellectual flexibility• Planning and organizing• Problem solving skills• Quality assurance• Results/Goal oriented• Strategic orientation• Taking initiativeFemale applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.In compliance to the Data Protection & Privacy Laws of Uganda, MTN Uganda will use your application documents for purposes for which they were intended for.
